Wake Up and Smoke Some Crack!

Started collaborating with my friend Tim on a series of comics in the vein of Jellyfist (written by Jhonen Vasquez and drawn by Jenny Goldberg). I'm doing the writing (if you can call it that) and Tim is doing the artwork.

Jaded (Finally Finished)

After a lot of delays and problems, the film is finally finished. I think the scened with John and Amy look really nice and the intro is really cool, but the other parts of the film kind of fall apart in terms of cinematography, etc. I guess I learned to spend time setting up my shots and have someone I trust (not just the tripod) use the camera next time.

Anyways, here it is: Jaded

Jaded (Noir Project)

This is the script for the film I'm currently working on - the noir assignment. I wanted to do something different from what I assume everyone else will be doing so I tried to transplant the characters that are generally archetypal in noir films from their gritty downtown setting to high school. Kind of like Brick, but dealing with more realistic issues.
You'll notice the anti-hero takes the form of the protagonist, John. The femme fatale, Jade, gives the film it's name. And the "good girl" who often appears in noir films is John's ever faithful friend, Amy.

Shred The Gnar!

I'm finally finished with my documentary assignment for my film class! Originally I wanted to do a documentary on something pertaining to music, but one of the major points my teacher made was that we had to have some sort of a story which I had difficulty figuring out how to do with the limited real-life topics we could cover. So instead of doing a traditional documentary, my group made a mockumentary in the vein of Spinal Tap.

And here it is in two parts:

PART 1

PART 2

The sound is kind of quiet so after the intro you probably want to turn your volume up. I think something might have happened in the rendering process because it sounded fine before then. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
